What is Health Connect, and how is it used?
Health Connect is a Google-powered platform that lets health and fitness apps securely share data on your device (like steps, sleep, or heart rate).
If you use features that involve Health Connect:
You control what’s shared and with which apps
We only access what’s needed for health and fitness tracking
We follow Google’s rules and health data laws to protect your information
What kind of personal data do you collect?
We may collect personal data such as:
Health and fitness information - such as Distance and Steps (if you choose to share it)
We only collect what's necessary to make WalkFit work properly and support the features you use.
How do you use my data?
We use your data to:
Deliver app features (like step tracking)
Improve your experience
We never share or sell your data.
Do you share my data with others?
Any data we read or collect from Google Health Connect is only used for the purpose of providing our service.
Your data is accessible only to our engineers for supporting core app functionality. It is never accessed or shared with any other teams.
Will the app work without sharing my data?
Yes — core features will still work. Some advanced features may need specific permissions through Google Health Connect (like tracking steps or syncing workouts).
How can I manage or delete my data?
You can:
Adjust permissions in your device settings
Contact our support team to request data deletion
Remove Health Connect permissions anytime via your phone’s Health Connect settings
We also remove your data entirely from our system when your user account is deleted.
